[Madlug] world domination may need some compromises

I note that the "World Domination 201" whitepaper by Eric Raymond &
Rob Landley at:

has been updated a bit.  The basic thesis is that there is an historic
once in a lifetime opportunity to unseat Microsoft, with a hard deadline of
2008,
and the price we have to pay is temporary acquiescence in per-seat binary
codec royalties for multimedia formats.
