Linux Authentication
Who's accessing your server?
Systems Administrators frequently support a variety of applications
spread over multiple servers, but managing the passwords for each system
independently is not only labor intensive, it can also be a security
risk. If you're running an Apache web server, you have a wide variety of
tools that allow you to verify your users from a central location.
LDAP and Kerberos used with Active Directory and plain old password
verification will be explored in this informative presentation. Join
Michael Heldebrant as he gives us a quick tour of the options and
implementation of various authentication tools available to Linux
administrators for Apache.
When: 1:00 - 3:00 PM, Saturday June 4, 2011
Where: ITT Technical Institute
Room: Theory 3
2450 Rimrock Road
Madison, WI 53713-2914
